Feeling those post-Christmas January blues? It seems you're not alone. People in Bristol could do with a little cheering up, according to the results of a poll published today.
Some 20 per cent of Bristolians claimed they were 'not happy' compared to a national average of 15 per cent.
In fact the only more discontented city was Cardiff, which with 23 per cent of 'unhappy' residents has more gloomy faces than anywhere else in Britain.
Brighton and Sheffield residents said they were most content, with more than 70 per cent of respondents stating that they are happy.
The poll by travel guide company Lonely Planet found surveyed nearly 2,000 people around the UK, and found that many thought the scenery and culture were the best things about living in Britain.
