POLICE are searching for a number of people in connection with five crimes in the Bristol area over the Christmas period.
In the first case, officers want to trace at least four people in relation to a distraction theft in Broadmead at 1.35pm on December 7.
Police also want to talk to a smartly-dressed man and a woman in connection with a high-value theft from a shop in Union Street, Broadmead on December 10.
The man was white, about 5ft 10in and about 40. He had short, brown hair, was clean shaven and slim. He was carrying a grey laptop bag.The woman was white, of a similar height and 35 to 40, with dark-brown hair in a high ponytail.
On December 21 a man is believed to have been involved in an attempted theft of clothing in Cabot Circus.
Police also want to trace two men in relation to the theft of chocolates from a shop in Saltford on December 22. Both were white and slim.
Officers also want to speak to a man in connection with a racially-aggravated assault on a black man in a pub in Hanham at 11pm on Boxing Day.
